We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming club where everyone can be themselves and have fun. We have a range of policies in place, supervised by our Welfare Officer Carolyn Turk, designed to ensure this remains the case and help you to raise any concerns you might have at any time.

our welfare officer

The club’s Welfare Officer is responsible for overseeing our approach to safeguarding and ensuring we provide you with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment to play the sport we all love.

Our Welfare Officer is Carolyn Turk. Carolyn has been a member of the club for many years and is also captain of the ladies first team. Off-court, her ‘day-job’ is teaching so she is well versed in the fundamentals of safeguarding and passionate about learning.

Contact Carolyn directly (and in confidence) if you witness or experience anything at the club that concerns you.

speaking up – see something, say something

To ensure best practice, the club has tailored and adopted policies developed by the LTA. All members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with these. We appreciate there is a lot to read here. The most important thing to remember is that if you ever see something that makes you uncomfortable, let someone know.

Our Welfare Officer, Carolyn Turk, is available to discuss any safeguarding issues and the LTA operate an independent system of reporting that is open to everyone.

our values – on and off the court

Our code of conduct

Our code of conduct is more than a set of a rules. It defines who we are and who we strive to be as a club.

It is based on the common values we share of Determination, Fun and Kindness. The essential qualities that make Cardross Tennis Club special.

We try hard but we never take ourselves too seriously, and we look after each other.
